Class Description:

Creating an accessible PowerPoint may seem simple on the surface; however, a presentation that also serves as a leave-behind often results in an inaccessible document and PDF. Whether you are starting from scratch or updating an existing presentation, equip yourself with the tools you need to create impactful and inclusive slide decks and handouts.

This course provides a comprehensive guide to designing, structuring, and presenting slides that meet compliance standards. You’ll learn practical techniques, from choosing fonts and colors to using templates and managing reading order. Additionally, we cover how to create alt text, plus accessible tables, videos, and audio files.

Understanding the design limitations of Microsoft PowerPoint is key to making sure an accessible asset is created. Explore the known barriers and bugs most people are unaware of, review the accessibility tools available within the software, and learn how to use PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat to create more accessible content.
