WCAG in Plain English Reference Card
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) are a set of technical standards and rules that improve the accessibility of digital content on websites, documents, and creative assets. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) developed WCAG to create more accessible content for everyone, including people with disabilities.
The WCAG Guidelines are categorized in three conformance levels: (A) Minimum, (AA) Standard, and (AAA) Highest. These guidelines help ensure content can be perceived, is easy to operate, is understandable, and is reliably robust across different devices and assistive technologies (AT).
